GridSense has announced that an un-named California utility will use its LineIQ solution to measure the impact of electricity generated by solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on the grid.

The utility will use LineIQ monitoring on distribution lines surrounding PV systems, focusing on fluctuations due to time of day and weather conditions.
