Central Electric to Deploy Smart Grid Technologies

Central Electric Cooperative will receive $4.65 million in matching funds from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to deploy smart grid technologies.

The grant, provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, will enable CEC to replace more than 30,000 existing meters with advanced metering technology.
