Toshiba ventures into residential solar PV market

Toshiba Corp. it will make its full-scale entry into the residential solar photovoltaic systems business in Japan on April 1, with the goal of winning a 10 percent share of the Japan market by fiscal year 2012.

Toshiba's residential solar PV systems comprise PV modules, power conditioners and color LCD that displays the overall system status.

The event is scheduled for October 4-6, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Smart Grid Summit is the first event of its kind to address the intersection of two core economic building blocks - utilities and communications. Conference sessions and keynote addresses equip companies building and using the Smart Grid to overcome the same transformational issues that telecom experienced with the advent of IP communications technologies. Smart Grid Summit is once again collocated with TMC's ITEXPO conference and trade show. ITEXPO is the world's largest and best-attended event focused on IP communications technology.
