SINGAPORE must become a ‘smart energy economy’ in order to work around its energy constraints, said the Economic Strategies Committee report released on Monday.
It can set up smart grids to encourage household energy efficiency, support low-carbon transport, and diversify its energy sources by looking into coal and electricity imports and studying the feasibility of nuclear energy, among other things.
